Matthew Raiford serves as manager of the Consortium for Battery Innovation (CBI), the only global pre-competitive research organization promoting innovation in lead batteries for energy storage, motive and automotive applications. For more than 25 years, CBI has delivered cutting-edge research that is taking advanced lead batteries to a new level of innovation
Matt has spent the last five years focused on improving dynamic charge acceptance and cycle life in lead batteries. He has pursued this goal by working with prominent national labs, universities and the lead battery industry. Matt earned a B.S. in chemistry from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in chemistry from University of Texas at Austin.
